Aaron School is a private K-12 special education program located in the heart of Manhattan for students with learning disabilities in the areas of reading, writing, and math in addition to attention, sensory, and social challenges.
Our Approach
Aaron School provides a structured, multi-sensory, language-based program where students are encouraged to become confident, independent, and successful learners. At Aaron School, you can expect:- Academics: Aaron School provides integrated academic, enrichment, and therapeutic services to children in grades K‐12. Offering an academically rigorous curriculum aligned with the New York State Learning Standards, Aaron employs an individualized approach to ensure student success while preparing them for successful post-secondary educational experiences and professional careers.
- Clinical Services: Our commitment to students’ social and academic growth and development is what makes Aaron School unique and our students so successful. Students have access to speech and occupational therapists, in addition to licensed counselors. Through direct instruction and application of skills, the curriculum targets critical skills such as time management, organization, self-advocacy, and independence. When specialized and flexible instruction are combined with therapeutic intervention, students feel safe and supported allowing them to focus on personal development.
- Students: Aaron School accepts students who have a wide range of complex learning challenges and tremendous potential. They require a traditional approach to education with continuous instruction in the core academics and opportunities to purse learning in creative ways. Aaron offers an academically rigorous curriculum that is aligned with the New York State Learning Standards paired with a strong social skills curriculum to prepare students for successful post-secondary educational experiences and professional careers.
Aaron School is a tuition-based school. We accept private pay as well as help families navigate the tuition reimbursement process. Tuition covers all therapies and academic programming. Please contact admissions to discuss your payment options.
